Mission, Inclusivity Statement, and Outcomes

Our Mission

Residence Life and Student Housing fosters the foundational ÃÛÌÒ½´experience where every student belongs, learns, and connects through their residential community. We make campus home.

Inclusivity

Residence Life and Student Housing (RLSH) embraces diversity and inclusion as core values that support our goal of providing an intellectually stimulating environment where a variety of ideas and perspectives work together to foster innovation. To this end, we commit to our inclusivity statement in our everyday work.

RLSH promotes the understanding of and appreciation for all races, religions, national origins, socioeconomic classes, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, physical and learning abilities, ages, and veteran statuses.

It is our goal for residents to learn how to be good citizens and to learn to demonstrate appreciation for diverse cultures while respecting the differences of others.

Moreover, we aim to protect all residents’ basic rights as described in our Community Standards; therefore, we do not tolerate or ignore acts of oppression, discrimination, abuse, harassment, bias, and/or hatred.

Outcomes

Each department and office within DSA at ÃÛÌÒ½´conceptualize the impact and subsequent outcomes of its work through the use of constituent outcomes. Below, we identify the student outcomes of living on campus at ÃÛÌÒ½´and associate their attainment with DSA’s six learning domains.
