Get Started

You can enable Turnitin as part of a new Canvas assignment. Turnitin is enabled on a per-assignment basis in Canvas. Turnitin uses your user role for authentication and uses your Canvas account to create and manage assignments.

Similarity Report for your submitted file is usually created within 5 to 10 minutes of submission. That is for an average paper of 500 to 1000 words. Longer papers will take a little more time.

If you do not get a report back quickly be patient. During high volume times such as midterm or finals, heavy use can cause delays. Check the status on their or using the page Please note that multiple submissions can cause Similarity Reports to take 24-hours to regenerate. During this time, you may not have access to the Similarity Report or the similarity index (percentage).
