J. Collin Spring (“Jay”) represents clients dealing with commercial litigation, personal injury, insurance disputes, breach of contract, professional responsibility, tax matters, and more across Texas, Louisiana, and the country. Jay is actively involved in the community and has volunteered with several local arts organizations. He is also a fierce advocate for mental health and wellness in the legal profession and speaks around the state regularly on topics relating to burnout, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention. He has worked with local bar associations and their leadership to revamp mental health programming and is involved in several initiatives geared towards improving the lives of attorneys and paraprofessionals.
Jay has been recognized for his legal acumen, professionalism, and service to the community. In 2022, he received the Stephen G. Condos Award for Outstanding New Member of the Texas Bar College. He has been recognized since 2024 as a Texas Rising Star by Thompson Reuters, and has received a variety of accolades through local bar associations, including the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Presidential Award of Distinction. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a Life Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation.
Jay is actively involved in the legal community. In the past, he has served as a Co-Chair of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Wellness, CLE, and Bolton Ball Committees. He currently serves as the Co-Vice Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Publication Committee. He served as an Associate of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court from 2019 to 2022.
