Shelbi Barnhouse, a commercial litigator with nearly 25 years of experience, joined the Legal Analysis, Writing and Research team as an adjunct lecturer in fall 2024. She received her Plan II undergraduate degree and law degree from The University of Texas. After law school, Shelbi joined Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, where she practiced high-stakes business and securities litigation as an associate and later as a partner. She is currently Of Counsel at Amy Stewart Law, where she helps clients navigate complex insurance coverage disputes. Shelbi also serves as President of the Board of Trustees for The Kessler School in Oak Cliff.
