Who We Are

Centers

AT&T Center for Virtualization

Virtualization is the creation of devices and machines that have no real, physical existence apart from their existence created or simulated by software. Virtual devices taking advantage of the Cloud’s capacity to rapidly and reactively shift resources in space and time to deliver support “on demand” and “at scale” will reshape the future of computing and communication. New advances will dramatically transform critical sectors such as telecommunication, healthcare, business, education, energy, and transportation. Learn more about the AT&T Center for Virtualization.

Center for Global Health Impact

Founded in 2014, the Center for Global Health Impact aims to save lives in communities with poor access to healthcare throughout the world. To accomplish this, the Center promotes innovative approaches that bring effective and affordable health solutions to those who need them and in ways they will use them. In particular, the Center provides leadership coaching and strategy development for health leaders, conducts research and development in technologies such as virtual reality surgical simulation, and engages students on global and public health issues. Learn more about the Center for Global Health Impact.

Center for VR Learning

The mission of the Center for VR Learning Innovation (CVRL) is to advance interdisciplinary research and innovation at ÃÛÌÒ½´in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and game-based learning (GBL) for education, health and human development. In addition, the Center supports digital learning with mixed reality, virtual coaching, and interactive learning design for research and online and hybrid courses in Simmons.
