SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts has been named number one among the top 10 music colleges in the U.S. by College Factual, an organization that ranks colleges in multiple categories to help parents and students with college choice decisions. The top 10 list was published in .

College Factual cites Meadows for its financial aid, number of music majors, individual attention to students and for focusing on “fostering artists’ abilities as both musicians and community influencers in a concentrated environment.”

Other universities on the list include Boston College, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Cornell, Brown, Duke, Columbia and the College of William and Mary.

College Factual considered a number of factors in the rankings, including early and mid-career earnings, number of graduates, percent of graduates in that major at the school, related majors offered and best overall college quality.
