Brianna Woods is an actor, singer and a mischievous lil storyteller from Kansas City. Full of curiosity, Woods found her shine by watching the actors in her community. They taught her that there is power in opening yourself up, being unapologetically yourself, meeting the world and letting the world meet you. More than anything, Woods loves to laugh with her best friends. Before SMU, she performed for The Kansas City Repertory Theater, Kansas City Starlight, The Unicorn Theater, The Living Room Theater, and Musical Theater Heritage, to name a few. Her feature film debut in The Unseen was named “Best Heartland Narrative Feature” at KC FilmFest International and was selected as a part for Freestate Film Festival (2024) and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Since moving to Dallas, Woods has found new community with the Dallas Theater Center, ÃÛÌÒ½´Meadows School of the Arts students, faculty, and staff, and has become a member of The Blue Magic Ensemble, founded by Tiana Kaye Blair in association with The SoulWork Method founded By Dr. Crystal Truscott. Her short film, A Prayer, is currently being entered into regional festivals and was recently shown at the Denton Black Film Festival (2025). Now, Woods is excited to expand her tribe to the American coasts and to bring some KC charm to New York and LA. She is, of course, most excited to graduate.
