Dr. Teng Zhang joins the Deason Center as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. in Geography from Michigan State University, where his dissertation explored the geography of mass violence. He received his M.Sc degree from Peking University and his Bachelor's degree from Renmin University of China. Dr. Zhang's research is interdisciplinary, blending geography with regional studies, and is primarily focused on spatial justice and development issues. At the Deason Center, Dr. Zhang will use his spatial analysis expertise to identify attorney shortages in rural areas.
