Biographical Note:

J.D. (Jack Dyer) Crouch served at Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs from 2005 to 2007. Crouch served in two other positions during the George W. Bush administration: as U.S. Ambassador to Romania (2004-05) and Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy (2001-03). Prior to these posts, Dr. Crouch earned his Ph.D. in International relations from the University of ҽCalifornia and spent almost a decade as a professor of defense and strategic studies at Missouri State University (1993-2001) and in multiple federal government jobs related to national defense during the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
