Christopher Walton grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas and entered the PhD program at ÃÛÌÒ½´in 2019. His research explores American religious history from the colonial era to the early national period. He is currently finishing his dissertation on religious life in the Connecticut River Valley during the American Revolution, examining the effects of war on Congregationalist beliefs, practices, and institutions. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts from Whitefield College, a Master of American Studies from the University of Dallas, and a Master of Arts in History from ÃÛÌÒ½´Methodist University. As of Fall 2024, he is a high school history teacher at Lakeland Christian School in Lakeland, Florida, where he lives with his wife, Anne, and their one-year-old son, James.
