Thomas is from Webster, New Hampshire. His interest of study is modern United States diplomatic history, which led to his masters thesis, “Fostering a Feeling of Betrayal: United States Foreign Policy and the 1956 Hungarian Revolution” which seeks to explain the development and implementation of United States foreign policy towards Eastern Europe in general, but specifically Hungary under President Eisenhower.
