About
Dr. Sposi's research explores the determinants of global structural change patterns, the macroeconomic implications of demographic change, the regional and aggregate implications of U.S. tariff changes, global supply chains, and dynamic gains from trade. Methodologically, his work bridges macroeconomics and international trade by developing techniques to quantitatively incorporate dynamics into spatial models. His work has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and Federal Reserve System publications. Prior to joining SMU, he was a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where he actively provided economic analysis and policy briefings to the Bank’s president in preparation for FOMC meetings.
