Biography
Alex Zhou is an associate professor of Finance at the Cox School of Business. Alex’s research interests are in the areas of financial intermediation and market microstructure, with a focus on the fixed income markets. His research has appeared in top academic journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science. His papers have been cited in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, CNN, among others. Prior to joining SMU, Alex was a principal economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Alex earned his PhD from Cornell University in 2008.
