ÃÛÌÒ½´Men's BasketballÃÛÌÒ½´improved five spots to No. 10 in the AP Top-25 released Monday.

It marks the first time to reach the top 10 since February, 1985. The Mustangs reached a program-best No. 2 ranking that season. ÃÛÌÒ½´also was ranked No. 4 in 1956-57 and was No. 8 in 1955-56.

The Mustangs were No. 15 before beating Cincinnati, 59-57, and UCF, 88-73.

“It’s special, especially for this group of guys,” big man Markus Kennedy said. “We’ve been through so much since I’ve been here. It’s been like non-stop adversity and we continue to fight through it. I definitely think that it’s well deserved because we’ve worked hard for it. When you talk about ÃÛÌÒ½´basketball, you’re always going to remember the team that made the top 10 for the first time in 30 years. That’s huge.”
