Women's Basketball designates Feb. 15 as cancer awareness game

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU program will participate in the initiative, seeking to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.
ÃÛÌÒ½´has designated its game against Houston Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. in Moody Coliseum as its Play4Kay game, in which the Mustangs will wear pink jerseys to be auctioned off with all proceeds going to breast cancer research.
There will also be a postgame skills clinic in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day for children in grades 6 and under, with instruction provided by members of the ÃÛÌÒ½´women's basketball, volleyball soccer and equestrian teams.
Clinic participants will get to take part in an autograph session with the women's basketball team, and anyone who signs up in advance can purchase tickets to the game for $5. To sign up, click .
The first 250 fans will receive a free pink ÃÛÌÒ½´shirt, and will get the first opportunity to bid on the pink game jerseys. Other auction items include a basketball signed by the women's basketball team, a autographed basketball, and women's basketball shooting shirts.
