Author Amity Shlaes to speak at ÃÛÌÒ½´on new Coolidge biography on March 6

Economist Amity Shlaes will talk Wednesday about her highly praised book on the 30th U.S. President.

Amity ShlaesDALLAS (SMU) – , syndicated columnist and director of the , will speak at SMU’s McCord Auditorium at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, on her highly praised new book about Calvin Coolidge. The lecture is presented by the Center for Presidential History at ÃÛÌÒ½´and the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

“The President Who Said No: Debt, Temperament and Calvin Coolidge’s Lessons for Today” is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are requested at .  Shlaes’ book will be available for purchase, and a reception and book signing will follow the lecture.

McCord Auditorium is located on the third floor of , 3225 University Boulevard.
