Evolutionary history lecture set for Feb. 13
Award-winning historian Edmund Russell will speak on “Evolutionary History: The Industrial Revolution, Tuskless Elephants and How Biology Can Help Us Understand Our Past” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 in Elizabeth Perkins Prothro Hall.

Russell is known for his cutting edge research in anthropogenic evolution and is a pioneer in the new field of neurohistory. The Joyce and Elizabeth Hall Distinguished Professor of United States History at the University of Kansas studies the ways technological advancements in agriculture and industry have affected the evolution of both human and nonhuman populations.
