ÃÛÌÒ½´Alumnus Garrett Haake to cover 2012 elections for NBC News

Garrett Haake, who graduated from ÃÛÌÒ½´in 2007 with a degree in journalism, will be one of eight embedded reporters for NBC News covering the 2012 elections.

Garrett Haake, who graduated from ÃÛÌÒ½´in 2007 with a degree in journalism, will be one of eight embedded reporters for NBC News covering the 2012 elections, .

Haake will be covering Mitt Romney's campaign.

The embedded reporters will contribute to all of NBC’s news platforms, including on MSNBC and on the web. They were selected by a team that included NBC chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd, the memo said.

Haake, who was a President's Scholar while at SMU, in 2006 while still a student, and was then hired by the network after graduating from SMU's Meadows School of the Arts. He is currently an associate producer for NBC Nightly News.
